You can’t fully understand the end of someone without knowing how they begun. Award-winning comedian Lekzy DeComic has said in a twitter conversation that his journey into the comedic industry started with music.
The Too cute to be mute performer stated that he was a rapper and was part of a music group; BAK Page. He also stated that after school, the leader of the rap group influenced him to start comedy.
“I started as a Rapper in a group called Bak Page headed by @Gem_Djanie but many years after school, my leader felt my talent can’t go waste so he lobbied 4 me to be on a comedy show called Comedy Bar which I hesitated many times but in the year 2012 I gave it a shot and since then I haven’t looked back” he tweeted.
In the conversation with KobbyKyeiNews, he also talked about challenges in the industry he believes if are corrected the industry would flourish beyond its current state. Breaking these challenges into three, the comedian listed Media support, Financial support from investors and support from Ghanaians as a whole.”
The comedy industry is still budding and it is a very promising industry, so I believe sometimes we mustn’t pretend nothing amazing happens, I feel all these groups of people can do more to promote the art.
