Kidi Explains Why Ghanaian Songs Don’t Do Well In Africa

 

Lynx Entertainment artiste Dennis Nana Dwamena, known for his stage name Kidi has sort to explain the reason why most Ghanaian music fail to penetrate the African market.

The Ghanaian Music industry is struggling to compete and mark an impact in most African countries.
A recent poor response from Nigerian fans to top artists like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, King Promise among others in a show to launch Menzegold and Zylofon Media in Nigeria lays credence to this fact.

Many have sort to explain the cause for this and product of MTN hitmaker who also won the Highlife song of the year award at the recent VGMA with his hit single “Odo” has also sort to explain why it’s difficult for Ghanaian music penetrate the African market

In a question and answer session with his fans on Twitter, Kidi was asked by a fan,
“Why is it sooo difficult for our songs to penetrate the African market”.

In a response to the question, Kidi wrote,
“It’s all about marketing and reach. Our reach is limited. We no get money to push ourselves like that”. He answered.
