Confusion: Kuami Eugene Steals Song

Lynx Entertainment’s Afrobeat Rockstar, Eugene Marfo popularly known by the stage name Kuami Eugene has released his first single for the year 2018. “Confusion”, the title of his new single seems to be the sequel to his hit song “Angela”.

With all the buzz surrounding the song and how people are jumping to the tune. I have gathered a rather interesting bit about it. Could his new song be a ripoff? I came across a song by Malian singer Sidiki Diabate titled “Fais Moi Confiance”. I couldn’t help but hear the resemblance of his song to that of Kuami Eugene’s.

Sidiki Diabate’s song “Fais Moi Confiance” was released in the year 2016 under his album Diabateba Music, Vol 1. Even though the hype surronding Kuami Eugene’s songs is very good for his career, I can’t help but think mistakes such as this can have a bad effect on him. Now the question I want to ask is, is the song “Confusion” a cover to “Fais Moi Confiance”?

Below is the song, you can listen and judge for yourself:

  3. Ghanaians & pHD (Pull Him Down) .. If he is trying to gain an international exposure how do you know. He has a management team. If they didn’t like the idea of him dubbing the song, they wouldn’t have let the son out. When Justin Bieber dubbed Luis Fonsi’s Despacito, did u hear anything thing about it? Most of u guys even thought it was Bieber’s own song. Let the boy be. #Fadama2DeWORLD
