Fashion Designers Union of Ghana and The Musicians Union of Ghana, in Collaboration with Afriscot Media London, present THE GHANA HILIFE AND FASHION FESTIVAL (GHAFF) London 2022. This is an initiative to bring a change in women’s development through music.
Hilife has come a long way to serving Ghanaians as music and a means of representing Ghana through creative arts and culture.
Osibisa, a famous Ghanaian international hilife group that gained a lot of recognition all over the world paved the way for a lot of African musicians on the international stage Manager of Kumi Guitar Sampson Kwame Danso said, “Hilife is a powerful cultural tool that speaks volumes for Africans both in the diaspora and at home because it represents the Culture of a people.”
Even though we have different genres of music, hilife has always been in a comfortable lead and has seen many talented men and women in that field.
The likes of Nana kwame Ampadu, Akwasi Ampofo Adjei(AAA),CK Man, JA Adofo (Black Chinese), Ewurama Badu, Akosua Agyapong. AB Crentsil, Lee Dodou to name but a few. Today, we have young men and women who have taken to this beautiful genre like Kuami Eugene, and Yaw Stone who also are performing at the launch of Ghana Hilife And Fashion Festival (GHAFF). The president of the Fashion Designers Union of Ghana,Tete Bill Azumah who doubles as Asafoatse Ayi Dzaku of Teiko Tsuru, Ga Paramount Stool and the communications director of of the union Mr Lemaine Nana Hagan together paid a courtesy call on the president of the musicians union of Ghana to conclude discussions about the up comming event .CEO Of Afriscot Media Afua Hagan explained why cooperate Ghana should support this initiative because of the economic hardship which has affected women in diverse ways. This project is meant to support women in small scale businesses which will go some way to help eradicate poverty amongst women in our society.
