Every entertainers’ dream is to see his work being recognized outside the country he or she is based. The recognition makes these entertainers feel good about themselves and have a good sense about the field they have chosen.
Comedian Foster Romanus is however of the view that the Ghanaian community in the diaspora are not doing very well in promoting Gh comedy. The disappointed comedian in a facebook post expressed his worry on how people claim to be in support for their craft but when it comes to doing things to support, they vanish.
“They are always talking about promoting our arts and entertainment to the extent of comparing to other countries and yet a whole Ghana Music Awards UK, there is no comedian on the bill. Meanwhile other countries have comedians on theirs…pity.” He said.
I hope the Ghanaian community outside would listen to him and do what is needed of them to support the comedy industry. Foster Romanus would be performing on the 20th of this month at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair at Glo Megafestalongside Coemdians such as DKB, Khemikal, Jacinta, Bovi, Gordons, Seyi Law, Dan D humorous, Senetor, Salvador and Basketmouth with musical performances from Stonebowy, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene to name a few.
