ASANTE KOTOKO SC HOSTS EBUSUA DWARFS IN AN EMPTY STADIUM, TWO UNBEATEN SIDES MEET, ASHGOLD SC WELCOMES BEREKUM CHELSEA AND THE REGIONAL DERBY OF LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS AND HEARTS OF OAK
Week five of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League comes off today and tomorrow at the various stadia with some interesting and exciting pairings.

Today at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Ashantigold SC will host Berekum Chelsea. The Miners are yet to lose at home after beating Great Olympics(3-0) and Techiman Eleven(2-0) Wonders at home in the first two matches.
However, Berekum Chelsea are having a good away run this season. Chelsea have stunned both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko at their own turf. Both Ashantigold SC and Berekum Chelsea are yet to lose or concede a goal in this season’s league. Frank Boateng and Ibrahim Danlad of Ashantigold SC and Berekum respectively have been both fantastic in post. Both clubs meet today with having the same points(10points).
Asante Kotoko vs Ebusua Dwarfs
After Asante Kotoko accepting their five-match home ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association, Asante Kotoko will host bottom rocked Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Stadium in closed doors tomorrow.
Maxwell Konadu and his charges with be hoping to return to winning ways after suffering two straight defeat against Berekum Chelsea and Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium and Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
Ebusua Dwarfs are yet to win a game or get a point in this season’s league and their head coach Robert Raymond Assibu resigned on Thursday after losing at home against Liberty Professionals last Wednesday.
Liberty Professionals vs Hearts of oak
At the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, unbeaten Liberty Professionals will host shaky Hearts of Oak in the week five fixtures. The Scientific Soccer lads recorded their first win of the season last Wednesday when they beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium. 4 games; 1 win, 3 draws.
However, Hearts of Oak also held WAFA at Sogakope to an impressive 0:0 for the first time and will be hoping to get a win this weekend to boost their confidence for the superclash next week Sunday. 4 games; 1 win, 1 draw, 2 loses.
Aduana Stars vs Legon Cities FC
In Dormaa, Aduana Stars will host ‘Money Boys’ Legon Cities FC on Sunday at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium. The Royals are still searching for their first win after four matches played in the season. 4 games; 3 draws, 1 lose.
Aduana Stars are having a good run and after four matches played, the ‘Ogya Boys’ are occupying the fourth position on the league log with 9 points. Aduana Stars are very impressive at home and will be looking to continue their unbeaten run at the NAB Park. Yahaya Mohammed will be a player to watch since he has scored all his 5 league goals this season in Dormaa.
However, Legon Cities after the massive investment are yet to win a match. The Accra based club were hoping to record their first win against Ashgold but ended in stalemate at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday. Interestingly, Legon Cities are yet to lose an away match this season after two games(Liberty and Dreams FC).
The arrival of defender Nicholas Mensah has seen the Royals achieve clean sheets in the last two games.
Dreams FC vs Medeama SC
Elsewhere, Dreams FC will welcome Medeama SC. Dreams FC suffered their first defeat of the season against Berekum Chelsea last Wednesday and will be hoping to bounce back this weekend.
Medeama SC have had a very brilliant run this season and will be hoping for a win at the Theater of Dreams. Both sides have met once at Dawu (22nd May, 2016) and it ended in a 2-2 draw. Medeama are second on the league log with an impressive 10 points and will be hoping Prince Opoku Agyemang continues his scoring streak.
Karela United vs King Faisal
Karela United will be looking to bounce back from their matchday four defeat to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium. They lost the game by 2-0 and have set their eyes on a win against King Faisal.
King Faisal are still searching for their first win of the season and will aim at upsetting Karela United at the Akoon Park.
King Faisal drew against Bechem United 2-2 on match day four to pick their first point of the season.
Inter Allies vs WAFA
Inter Allies will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat they had last Wednesday at home against Elmina Sharks(2-3).
Captain Victorien Adebayor Adje has been on fire since rejoining the side.
The Niger star has scored in all three matches he has played for Allies and also named MVP in their last two matches.
WAFA SC dropped points at home in midweek against Hearts of Oak and would like to get back to winning ways. They are unbeaten this season. 4 games; 2 wins, 2 draws.
Elmina Sharks vs Accra Great Olympics
Sharks recorded their first victory of the 2019/20 season when they beat Inter Allies 3-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday and will be hoping to continue what they did in Accra tomorrow against Olympics.
Great Olympics had their first win of the season last Thursday when they beat Karela United FC at the Accra Sports Stadium(2-0). Both sides have met twice in the league. Olympics won 1 and drawn 1. Olympics beat Elmina Sharks at Nduom Sports Stadium on 8th October, 2017.
Bechem United vs Eleven Wonders
Prince Kwabena Adu of Bechem United popped up on the radar with a brace at the Baba Yara Stadium when Bechem United played a 2-2 draw against King Faisal last Wednesday. Bechem United will be hoping to continue their fine home run when they host Eleven Wonders on Monday.
There is also a youngster in the Bechem United team to watch, Kwadwo Asamoah. He is a delight to watch on any day.
Eleven Wonders from Techiman were giant killers in midweek when they put then unbeaten Aduana Stars to the sword 1-0 and had their first win of the season.
