Akuapem Poloo has revealed that she has over eleven years experience in the Ghanaian movie industry. In an interview on Zylofon FM, the actress recounted how long the journey has been for her in her rise up the ladder in the movie circles.
“I didn’t start shooting movies today. I’ve been in the industry from eleven years. I starred in Agya Koo Azonto and local akan drama series, Obra as well as many others. Not only that, I’ve shot a lot of music videos as well”.
Akuapem Poloo, who is also a cast in the yet to be released “Away Bus” movie was full of praise for her fellow cast who welcomed her so well and took her like a sister throughout the production of the movie. She said her role in that movie has landed her the biggest pay cheque in her career as an actress.
Born Rosemond Brown, Poloo has risen to prominence in this new age of social media with her loud mouth and controversies which she admits has helped push her and enhanced her brand as an actress.
According to her, she knows her lifestyle on social media is not acceptable and does not speak well of her, she won’t stop that because that is her selling point and that is getting her the attention that hitherto she was not getting.
