I Will Never Stop Acting – John Dumelo

What is that one thing in life that you cannot stop doing? Reading? Eating? Clubbing? Cooking? Just name it but according to John Dumelo, acting is something he can never turn his back on no matter how old he grows on earth.

On a radio tour to promote Kofi Asamoah and Peter Sedufia’s upcoming movie “Away Bus”, the actor turned farmer said, he would be a hypocrite if he stops acting. He said acting has turned him and others from nobodies into somebodies and as such necessity is on him to give back to such a profession as and when he is needed.

“There will never be a point when I will stop acting. It has brought some of us to where we’ are today. I don’t believe I would have been here if not for acting. So why then should I say I would stop? He quizzed.

Mr. Dumelo who is a known campaigner for the opposition NDC when asked about his ambition to become president was of the diplomatic view that “If that is the will of God, then why not”.

On his role as a “trotro mate” (bus conductor) in the movie, he admitted that it was challenging but his commitment and will to learn made him deliver the role to suit the character.

John Dumelo was speaking on Accra-based Zylofon FM’s morning show, showbiz agenda which airs every weekday from 7-11am. The show is hosted by Sammy Flex Baah.
