The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cynthia Morrison has called on the general public to disregard any falsehood being propagated about the hot meals the government is sharing.
According to her, the viral images making rounds on social media about the poor quality of food is not what her ministry and the government are distributing.
Speaking to Kobby Kyei News after a donation by Philipa Baafi to her ministry, Hon. Morrison disclosed that though the food are not cooked by the ministry, but the caterers they have contracted ensure that whatever is being served is of the highest quality.
She said, “The pictures you see on social media is not what we’re cooking. This is not cooked in the ministry. The caterers we give the orders to, cook and bring samples here for us to check so those negative things you see on social media is not true”.
“This is not the time to do propaganda and you can ask those that we give food outside, the kind of food we bring to them. The quantity may not please everyone but to talk about the quality, it is not compromised. So I want the general public to know that we’re giving our brothers and sisters who are in dying need, the best”, the minister ended.
