Day 182. E & M Corner. Lesson on Faith. Thank God for bringing us into a new month, the seventh month of 2018.
For the next two weeks I want you to join me to learn some lessons about Faith. Repentance and faith go hand in hand.
Hebrews 11:1-2; “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.”
This is simply how the Bible defines Faith. To be sure of something we do not see right now, and maintain the hope, that one day we shall see or possess.
In the parable of the lost son, there was no way that this son in the story was going to return home. He took everything his father gave him and left. Yet, when life became unbearable, he remembered home. He had faith in his father and made a genuine decision to return home to his father. Listen to what he said. “I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you…” Luke 15:18. He did this by faith.
Therefore, when we genuinely repent, the next thing expected of us is to have faith in God our heavenly Father, and to go back to him to confess how sinful we are. Faith should tell us that God our Father is always there for us, waiting to receive us back.
Our inner eye should help us to see beyond our current situation and move on by faith to leave behind the rough and messed past, and to come home to our loving and caring Father who welcomes all without conditions! Remain blessed as we continue…
