Kobby Kyei Visits Vice President To Discuss The Incorporation of Social Media In The Ghanaian Education Curriculum

According to Kobby, he will be delighted if social media can be a subject or course in our various schools in Ghana.

Renowned Ghanaian blogger and influencer, Kobby Kyei has paid a visit to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for a positive discussion on how the usage and understanding of social media can be included in the Ghanaian education curriculum.

According to Kobby, he will be delighted if social media can be a subject or course in our various schools in Ghana.

He says, “as a blogger who has always been an advocate of the positive use of social media, I am glad that our higher authorities are opening up to these conversations and I look forward to the materialization of these talks”.

Kobby believes that the influence of the Government together with its agencies including the Ghana Education Service (GES) can guide and enlighten the young ones regarding social media in today’s digital world.

The GES’s mandate is to guarantee the implementation of approved national pre-tertiary educational policies and programs to ensure that all Ghanaian children of school-going age irrespective of tribe, gender, disability, religious and political affiliations are provided with inclusive and equitable quality formal education.
