National Union Of Ghana Students (NUGS) Honours Richmond Amofa – Sarpong

Influential Ghanaian entrepreneur, Richmond Amofa – Sarpong who doubles as the manager of popular Ghanaian actress and philanthropist, Fella Makafui has been honoured by the National Union Of Ghana Students (NUGS) for his immense role in youth empowerment in the country.

Richmond Amofa – Sarpong was recognized amongst many other top government officials as well as other private citizens who are contributing to the growth of the country.

Richmond Amofa Sarpong is the founder of Ghana’s biggest students Awards Festival – Ghana Tertiary Awards which has Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) as its Headline Sponsor. Indomie Ghana, DKT International, Malta Guinness, Twellium Industrial Company Ltd, McVities Ghana, MTECH Ghana and Crystal Airlines are its Golden Sponsors.

Richmond Amofa – Sarpong, through the establishment of his awards scheme has helped in discovering many outstanding Ghanaian personalities. The young entrepreneur is also a Law Student and a Television Presenter on Youth Empowerment Television Show which airs Monday to Thursday on Pan African Television in Ghana.

He was appointed the United Nations Youth Ghana’s Public Relations Officer in 2019. His works has been recognized and this has led him to receive many honors and distinctions such as “Youth Empowerment Icon of the Year” at the African Youth Empowerment Awards 2015, “Best Golden Entrepreneur at the West Africa Golden Entrepreneur Awards 2016, “Outstanding Youth Entrepreneur” at the Ghana Rising Entrepreneurs Awards 2017 and “Exclusive Male Entrepreneur” of the Year at The Africa Entrepreneur & Leadership Awards 2018.

Richmond Amofa – Sarpong popularly known as Richie, kicked off his business career in Marketing. He is immensely experienced in BTL Marketing and Event Management.

Richie is currently studying Law and has great passion for Politics. He strongly believes that young people must have their voices heard at all times. Having young people as passive participants in the conversations about the future of Africa has been one of his greatest achievements through has television show – The Youth Empowerment TV Show.

Richie is also a Youth Advocate, Talent Management Consult, Youth Coach and a Marketing Expert. He also lectures Media Law at Synergies Institute Ghana.
