The event saw some deserving winners pick home awards on the night.
The prolific musician has won the VGMA songwriter of the year for a record third time with his smash hit single, "Things Fall Apart."
In a press statement, organizers of the awards, Charter House noted that "30 Awards will be presented at 2 exclusive events on Friday 28th, and Saturday 29th August at 8pm each night. And on the 30th of August, the frontline workers of Covid-19 will be honoured with the VGMA Covid- 19 Heroes Concert, also starting at 8pm."
It was revealed in the statement that the 2020 edition of the VGMAs will take place on 28th-29th August, 2020.
Speaking on Okay FM with Abeiku Santana, Kinaata explained that, though it was not his target but he'll gladly welcome the Artiste of the Year plaque should it fall on his laps.
