2018 Was A “Rockstar” Year – Kidi Names Kuami Eugene As VGMA Artiste Of The Year

Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats singer, Kidi says his colleague musician, Kuami Eugene deserves the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) artiste of the year award with the year (2018) under review.

The “Adiepena” singer disclosed this in an interview on TV3’s “New Day” with TV and radio personality, Johnnie Hughes on Monday, February 4, 2019.

“Yeah, we all caused a lot of trouble but honestly speaking, 2018 was a rockstar year”, he said.

However, according to the criteria for the VGMA artiste of the year, the “Artiste of the Year” is the artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the artiste who released a hit single/album during the year under review and has a high audience appeal and popularity.

Also, he must be one of the artistes with the highest nominations in the year under review.
