Aside being unique, Sarkodie had to sacrifice a lot to get to the top – Mr. Korsah Brown

Music enthusiast and a former member of Sarkodie’s management team, Mr. James Korsah Brown has revealed that Sarkodie has sacrificed so much in his journey to become arguably Ghana’s biggest music star ever.

Mr. Korsah speaking to Kobby Kyei in an exclusive interview disclosed that there were days Sark had to travel to remote places to play “free shows” all in a bid to get his name and brand out there, something most of today’s new school musicians won’t do.

The banker also mentioned that aside the sacrifices, one of Sarkodie’s biggest weapons in his journey to the top has been the consistency he has had with his management and his uniqueness in the music industry.

“With Sarkodie, what we actually identified was uniqueness. He also managed to keep his team for a very long time and as young as he was, he was willing to sacrifice. Sarkodie could play a free show irrespective of how “big” the show was. He even traveled to perform at funerals all in a bid to cement his foundation properly and attain the popularity that’s why it’s so difficult to sink somebody like Sarkodie because he has really paid his dues in the industry”, the aspiring MP said.
