Ghanaian noteworthy blogger and influencer, Augustus Koranteng Kyei highly noted as Kobby Kyei has been hailed by Her Excellency, Anne Sophie-Avé, who happens to be the Ambassador of France to Ghana.
According to her, Kobby Kyei has taken an exceptional path in blogging, which has got much intellectual impact on the country and for her she really supports such a vibrant initiative. She made this comment at the recent iYES summit which was held by Pastor Brian Amoateng at the UPSA auditorium.
She says, “If I think of Kobby Kyei to begin with as a blogger, I think he’s not only a fantastic musician which I have just discovered, but also has chosen a path of blogging making it thinking, intelligent blogging, and I’m very fully in support of that.”
Anne Sophie-Avé strongly believes that, Kobby Kyei’s path of blogging happens to be the most difficult one, but he’s making positive impacts and educating the people. She also mentioned that it is easy to blog about gossips and other things that are easily attractive to netizens.
“It may be difficult because it is much easier to blog about gossips and things that are attractive to people, easy thinking. He has chosen a more difficult path, that is bringing some knowledge, talking about the history of Ghana, giving food for thought.”
The French diplomat further assured that such high valued careers are difficult at the early stages, but pays more as time flys by.
“It may be more difficult in the beginning but I think it’s going to pay in the long run.”
Kobby Kyei is one individual who is committed to promoting positivity in the Ghanaian media space. Taking a walk on social media, we can see a flood of light weighted value contents, which seeks to defame personalities and adds nothing to the development of the country and individuals.
The absurdity of such motives geared towards only making money online is quite devastating according to many Ghanaians, especially celebrities and high profile persons with hard earned reputations.
In this view, Ghanaians and some other parts of the world has no value for blogging and sees bloggers and freelance journalists with less value, but Kobby Kyei has changed the picture of blogging with his positive and intellectual blogging skills.
