Music collaboration is one of the creative forces driving our music industry today and, also a breakthrough opportunity for most new acts.
Besides, it’s also a creative strategy for some established artistes to revive their career with the aim of allowing one to pool fan bases and promote each other to one’s fans.
However, Ghanaian award-winning singer and songwriter, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., popularly known by his stage name Akwaboah Jnr. thinks some of his fellow musicians tends to “flex” when it comes to music collaborations.
The “Hye Me Bo” singer expressed this in a recent facebook post he did, adding that one can send the same song he wants to put his fellow Ghanaian act on to another big artiste who is not a Ghanaian and have his verse done within two days.
In the post Akwaboah stated that, “funny how u wana put your own brother Ghanaian on a song.. they keep flexing you.. send same song to a bigger non Ghanaian act.. and you have your verse in 2 days.. Ghana we’re sick in the head.”
