The award winning artiste, Rocky Dawuni has been nominated once again for a Grammy award in the Best Global Album category in its 64th edition.
The legendary musician bagged the nomination with his 2020 EP, the ‘Voice of BunBon, Volume 1’.
Rocky Dawuni is a Ghanaian singer, a record producer and a songwriter. His signature in music has been ‘Afro Roots’ sound which happens to be the blend Afrobeat, Highlife, Soul music and Reggae.
Other African musicians were nominated as well, the likes of
Wizkid, was nominated Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti and Made Kuti.
This marks the second nomination of the Grammy Award for Rocky, who was nominated for the ‘Best Reggae Album’ in 2016 for his 2015 album dubbed. ‘Branches of the Same Tree’.
Rocky Dawuni continues to be Ghana’s first Grammy nominee.
He has hit numerous recognitions, including the 10th placement on CNN’s African Global Stars poll
