For lovers of good music with catchy vibes and electrifying performances, nothing would have beat being at Herman Suede’s AFTER PREP show on 23rd December 2019 at The Garden in East Legon. To put it simply; it was an epic show of talent, charisma and pure youthful zest!

To his credit, Herman Suede, created quite the buzz in the weeks and days leading up to the AFTER PREP show, by inciting his massive fan base of high school-ers across the country with his High School Tour, releasing ‘Hi I’m Herman’-  his debut EP, as well as being hosted on a number of radio and TV shows.

His feature on “Womba” one of the most popular tunes on Sarkodie’s “Black Love” album, released only days prior to the AFTER PREP show, didn’t hurt either!! Indeed, the 17-year-old star has firmly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. He is undoubtedly, Ghana’s reigning teen pop idol!

Over 1000 fans turned up for the show which saw Herman Suede give fans a dazzling solo performance which lasted over one hour non-stop and included songs ranging from Afro Beat, Afro pop and Trap to Dancehall. The various costume changes, synchronized dance routines and amazing stage effects for each set made AFTER PREP not just a show, but more like a full theater production.

RJZ of La Meme Gang as well as Asi performed with Herman Suede whilst other amazing young performers such as Benty, Yung Jimbo and Malcom Nuna thrilled the crowd at the AFTER PREP show.  Talented male and female dancers from various high schools and universities also backed Herman Suede on stage.

Herman Suede – known in real life as Jason Bortei-Doku – besides being a respectful and hugely talented gentleman is also deeply charitable at heart. A portion of proceeds from the AFTER PREP show will be used in support of the Christ Faith Foster home, in Frafraha,to help refurbish a boy’s dormitory.

Altogether, the AFTER PREP show has set the bar rather high for showmanship in music entertainment in Ghana. The young Herman Suede, as sensational and thrilling as he was on 23 December 2019 will only continue to get bigger and better from here on out. Already looking forward to AFTER PREP 2020!!!
