I didnt do State of the Art song for awards – Teephlow
VGMA Record of the year winner Ekow Baidoo popularly known as Teephlow has expressed some level of excitement for seeing some changes in the Art industry, even though there are a lot more that can be achieved especially in the areas of Copy right and Royalties, there’s been some switch towards the young acts which is a good thing.
The song was an expression of our collective worries, some one had to put it rightly and timely. It appears i had the “big mouth” to say it and I’m happy we have seen some change.
“Today more young acts are being engaged and that all we seek” said Teephlow during an interview on New Day-TV3.
The Forgive hit maker also said it will be great to reserve very technical category to technical people in respect of awards schemes in Ghana. He said “if we limit all to votes, Shata Wale can win best rapper with numbers”.
He also thanked all those who made the ” State of the Art” song what it is now and admonished the government to look keenly into the Art industry especially our royalties and copy right issues.
