Nobody but you have to believe in your dreams to make them a reality and that is what Ghanaian budding artist, J Derobie has done after he submitted his song “Poverty” to EMPAWA AFRICA, an initiative by Nigerian singer, Mr. Eazi in search of creative and talented young artists in Africa.
Likewise, he was part of the first 100 artists that were selected in Africa.
However, the young afrobeat and dancehall artist, J Derobie has expressed how he felt when he got the information that he has been picked by Mr. Eazi and his team, EMPAWA AFRICA.
He stated this in an interview with kobbykyeinews.com on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
He said, “Heaven, I felt like I was in heaven that moment…”
Interestingly, when he was also asked, “How was the feeling like when you officially met Mr. Eazi and what was your reaction?”
He answered, “…I felt like meeting Jesus. I couldn’t look into his eyes. I was the shyest person on earth.”
Moreover, Jamaican dancehall artists, Popcaan and Kranium have endorsed the “Poverty” hitmaker.
