Ghanaian rapper Teephlow has bragged that he has no competitor when it comes to rap in the Ghanaian music industry.
In a bold claim when he appeared on Star Talk With Kobby Kyei, the “Phlowducator” rejected the notion that he is wordplay King, which makes him feel boxed and restricted but he is rather the unchallenged King of rap.
Teephlow said, “I have no challenger when it comes to rap music in general not just wordplay which is only one element of total rap. There are a million other things I do when it comes to poetry and creating lyrics. There are some many other elements which feature in my music but escapes people’s attention because I do the wordplay and do it so well that people want to associate me more with that”.
The one time VGMA Record of the Year winner further added that it’s time industry gatekeepers and award schemes in Ghana started looking at rap music in totality when awarding best rappers and stop looking at other “unimportant” indicators in their judgements.
