Afro pop singer- songwriter Noella Wiyaala has appealed to H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana to pump more investments into the creative arts.
Wiyaala made this plea when celebrated Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei interviewed her on his show “Time with the Stars”. When asked by Kobby Kyei what she’s going to address to the President should she have the opportunity to meet him, Wiyaala responded “He should invest a lot in the creative arts because creativity rules the world and without music, Ghana and the world at large won’t be a nice place”.
“You know when doing your politics you need music, when you’re stepping out somebody sow that dress, the First Lady exhibiting all those beautiful Kente somebody made it, these are all arts and culture, the microphone you speak into, the car you drive are all arts, those shoes you’re wearing, even the underwear is art”, She added.
Wiyaala believes that the creative arts industry is one of the sectors that can create a lot of employment in the country when given the necessary investment.
