Outspoken Ghanaian musician now turned political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, alias A Plus, has commended the Akuffo Addo led administration for bringing on board the year initiative.
Early last year, Nana Akuffo Addo launched the year of return initiative which was a strategic way to encourage African diasporans to come to Africa (specifically Ghana) to settle and invest in the continent. Indeed many African Diasporans heard the call, came and memorable moments were recorded in the Ghana’s history.
The initiative has had several critiques from many Ghanaians, notable one among them is that of outspoken Ghanaian Poet, Musician and Radio Personality, Black Rasta who believes that
“One million people coming to Ghana without Ghana airways is no achievement”
Yesterday on Utv’s entertainment shows hosted by Nana Ama McBrown, Political activist,Kwame A-Plus made it known that though he has always been on the neck of the president for low performance but truth must be told he’s really impressed about that year of return initiative.
According to him, considering the international recognition it gave to the country , how it boasted the tourism and creative arts industry, he wishe that it will be made an annual program which Ghana will be known for as it’s done in other countries.
