Entertainment pundit and artiste manager, Mr. Logic says the advent of social media has cheapened music making in Ghana.
The manager of promising dancehall act Kaphun, disclosed this on “The Pundits” on GHOne TV on Saturday, July 18, 2020.
Addressing issues on the Ghana music industry, Mr. Logic stated that social media has allowed a lot of “informal people” to infiltrate the music business in Ghana.
According to him, people record “anything” and “throw it out on social media” because it is easy to access without putting in appropriate promotion strategies to sell their songs.
Mr. Logic also blamed traditional media for their lack of support for musicians in Ghana.
He however in a twist advised musicians not to take traditional media for granted as they offer better platforms in music promotion.
Logic also called on government to pay proper attention to the entertainment industry and make adequate investments in the sector.
