Ghanaian singer, Fameye has cautioned record labels in Ghana not to see it as helping artistes but rather relate with them on a business level.
In an interview with Citi TV, the “Nothing I get” hitmaker bemoaned the fact that, artistes are unfairly labeled as ungrateful once they start complaining about unfulfillment of contractual terms.
This according to him has kept a lot of artistes, who out of desperation signed ‘shoddy’ contracts with some record labels to be stacked in these contracts.
Fameye said, “Record labels in Ghana feel they’re helping the artistes but it has to be on a business level since there is a contract with mutual benefits from both parties to favour everyone. But mostly because we’re desperate to topple up we jump into certain contracts we’re not suppose to”.
