SECOND EDITION OF PUC FASHION WEEK TO HIT PENTECOST UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
Two years ago, the maiden event was successful with the likes of Jay Folley(a radio and tv personality) and other dignitaries gracing the occasion with their presence. After the event, we have seen its impact on some students in another way which is helping them to take on the entrepreneurial journey whilst also exhibiting their creative ability towards personal, community and national development.
The Pentecost University College (PUC) FashionWeek is a flagship program of UTAMA Africa LTD (UTAMA) and with support from the PUC Students Representative Council (SRC). PUCFASHIONWEEK seeks to create a platform for students to exhibit their talents and ingenuity through fashion, creative artsand culture.
This edition of the PUCFASHIONWEEK will run for 3 days with engaging, educative and interesting activities to build the hidden curriculum of the students’ potential. The proposed date for the event is on the 4th – 6th April, 2019 and to a student’s population of over 4500 local and international students.
The main objective of this event is to offer students the opportunity to learn new skills, improve on the old skills set, enhance their potentials and to fuel their talents while organizing and after the event.
PUCFASHIONWEEK will encompass four facets which will include a fashion show, exhibition of wares, a training on how to create female and male accessories with African print and seminars with key seasoned fashion designers as speakers.
The event intends to take the exhibition through a three day period, here slots are available for outside vendors available and also for students entrepreneurs who have got something runningto make some sales. There will also be seminars on photography and entrepreneurship.
The event will be climaxed with a spectacular fashion showwhere some of the designers are students.
