Kisa Gbele on her YouTube show The Business of Entertainment, engaged Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, in a discourse on the subject of brand names and their influence in the music venture.
In response to the question of if he would advice upcoming artiste to change their names just as he did, he said:
“Well, If the need arises cos I believe you’re the business owner… “
He views music as a business venture and feels very strong about the fact that your name identifies your brand and that equally has an effect on your goal in the music business.
He explains that the brand name couples with the artistry of amusician. Thus, to make it out there, you’ve got to sell yourself with good name as well.
