Award winning rapper, Strongman who is known in real life as Osei Kwaku Vincent claims that most singers outshine rappers when they are featured on a song.
Strongman who is promoting his latest EP, ‘Still That Ni99a’ disclosed this in an interview on Zylofon 102.1 fm with radio personality Sammy Baah Flex and related his song ‘Baby Girl’ with Kuami Eugene as an example.
The SarkCess Music signee indicated that these singers tends to be more comfortable and familiar when it comes to singing specifically when a rapper features them on a song.
Rappers sometimes want to be in the top five or top ten music charts, so they feature these singers on their songs to get there. However, they tend to lose their identity, credit and ability as rappers to perform such songs since it is not their field, he explained.
He further expressed that he is a rapper, not a hitmaker and could have ignored Kuami Eugene, only if the song ‘Baby Girl’ was a rap song but due to the genre of the song, he had to put him on.
