The eldest child of multiple award-winning Ghanaian musician, Stonebwoy and Dr. Louisa celebrated her third birthday yesterday, 30th December, 2020.
In honor of Catherine Jidula’s (CJ) birthday, her family marked the anniversary of the day on which she was born by organizing a party with the kids, at the Nkrumah Children’s Ward of 37 Military Hospital in Accra, who are not enjoying the same standard of living as the majority of people in a society.
The celebration featured a fun games, arts, food, drinks and cutting of cake with the kids. Outside of friends and family in attendance, CJ and her family made it a special night for underprivileged kids at the ward. Her dad, Stonebwoy, paid the hospital bills and drugs of the kids who were on admission and others who had been detained at the health institution due to their financial status.
CJ was also widely celebrated across the country by media personalities, mainstream entertainers, media houses, and other creatives.
CJ has grown to become the public’s favorite young “celebrity”. In the build up to her birthday, Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Davido, who was in Ghana to finish and start a project with Stonebwoy shared a photo he took with CJ telling the world how amazing the young girl is. Other international media houses, including Legit NG, SoundCity TV-Africa, AK Praise and TV3 also shared photos of the ‘beautiful soul’.
With a monumental social media presence of about 70,000 followers on Instagram at just 3, CJ is the brand ambassador of The Kid Cart – a shopping centre where kids clothing, learning and educational resources can be bought at an affordable price. CJ is an entertainer who is often seen showing off her dancing moves or posing for the camera before her dance lessons. She also loves doing crafts, learning and making her own renditions of her father’s songs.
With her obvious keen interest in creative arts, it is of high possibility she will “wear her father’s shoe”.
