Award winning rapper, Flowking Stone says the level of respect for creative arts in Ghana is low.
Addressing an issue on how the government is not paying attention to the creative arts industry, the rapper stated that, “…the level of respect they give to creative arts is low. I feel is because of our line of duty. You see I’m here doing an interview, I’m wearing my T-shirt, I’m wearing my colourful stuff, you know in our part of the world when things are done in prim and proper way is considered more serious.
Like if I came here in suit and tie…immediately your idea will change about me…like this be some serious guy. You will deal with me in different way.
But we artists we are supposed to be free…so that type of image makes us come across as people who are not serious.”
Flowking Stone disclosed this in an interview with Ghana’s finest blogger, Kobby Kyei.
