Young songwriter and singer Vanessa Nice has waded into the Wendy Shay-YEA saga by opining that, her colleague should have looked a bit more formal in her outfit before stepping out to have that encounter with a personality like the former President.
In an interview with Ronny on Accra based online radio outlet Oliv Radio’s “The Buzz Live” morning show, the “Attention” crooner said though it’s Wendy Shay’s own business as to how she wants to appear in public but she thinks she wouldn’t have been in these hot waters if she had chosen a more formal appearance. “Everyone has a different way of getting things done so if that’s what she wants to do fine. That’s her but I would say for such a meeting she should have been more formal with her dressing. Probably to her what she wore was cool but I think she should have even chosen other pictures to post than the one she posted”, Vannesa said.
On nudity and the showing of too much “skin” by some musicians, Vanessa was of the view that if it is necessary to do that to get the needed attention then that is good but that should not be one’s sole aim. “It shouldn’t be just about the body. You just have to focus and do the music. If you have a nice voice to match your nice body and you put in the work, definitely the attention will come”, she said.
