Ghanaian singer and rapper Ayigbe Edem has lashed out at the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) calling them “a shame” in the process for taking advantage of the hype around celebrities to set their agenda.
Reacting to a social media post by GTA, Edem bemoaned the lack of efforts from the authority when it comes to supporting initiatives by players in the creative arts industry.
He wrote, “You people won’t support initiatives but would be quick to jump on the hype. Such a shame @ghanatourismGTA”.
Edem was reacting after the Ghana Tourism Authority shared on their Facebook page about newly appointment “Year of Return” ambassador, Sarkodie, being billed to perform at the upcoming Edemfest.
